Here at Innovative Enterprise and Enterprise Soapbox we have developed this competition to get schools' D&T departments using their creativity and enterprise skills in a real business challenge!
Since we developed the Enterprise Soapbox kit in 2006 we have sold hundreds of them all over the UK and Ireland into schools and businesses to help organisations develop their enterprise, teamwork and creativity skills.
Since the start we have included a selection of soap moulds in the kit and as we're now developing the kit for primary schools as well, we feel it's time the moulds were overhauled and some fresh shapes put into the kits.
So, rather than go to another business supplier in the UK, Europe or worldwide, we have decided to 'practice what we preach' and ask KS3 school students to be enterprising and design and create some new moulds for us to include in the kits. Hopefully this will allow enterprise to be brought to a younger audience in a practical project-based competition.
For starters it's totally FREE to enter the competition!
Secondly, the winning school will win an Enterprise Soapbox Kit worth £375.00 and the runner-up school will win an Enterprise Soapbox Refill Kit worth £150.00.
The Mould IT competition is a brilliant reason to get involved and push your school's ability to be creative and business-like by responding to the needs of a real business - so, the school benefits by bringing more students into the enterprise arena.
It will encourage a team of motivated students through a business and self-development activity (with the guidance of a teacher) and create a sense of team-working to focus on the task at hand.
In addition to receiving an Enterprise Soapbox Kit the winning school will have the option to sign a contract to supply a year's worth* of their winning mould for inclusion in the Enterprise Soapbox kits.
The winning and runner-up schools will also be featured in our Courier publication, on our websites' news pages and other planned press releases.
* Estimated volume = 100 mould sheets per annum purchased quarterly.
